The 10 most beautiful beaches in Ibiza

There are numerous beaches around the island of Ibiza, some of them are “Caribbean” sandy beaches, which are of course particularly well attended, sometimes tourists find small, romantic bays on this dream island, which do not always have a lot of infrastructure, but for Guarantee peace and closeness to nature. It seems almost impossible for us to identify ten beaches as the most beautiful! We dared anyway. Perhaps you have the opportunity to go on a journey of discovery during your stay on the island – possibly by rental car? – and discover some of these wonderful beaches or even all 10 most beautiful beaches in Ibiza and find your favorite beach.

The north and northwest

In the northern part of the island, in the region of the municipality of San Juan, are four of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza!

“S’Arenal”: Popular with tourists, especially families with children, is the municipality of Portinatx des Rei with the beach “S’Arenal”, which is divided into the two areas “S’Arenal Petit” and “S’Arenal Grand ”Can be divided. “S’Arenal” is sandy and flat. The infrastructure with bars and restaurants offers a lot of variety. Families with children like to visit the Portinatx Aquapark with its rapid water slides.

“Cala Benirrás”: In the past, the hippies particularly liked to make a pilgrimage to the beautiful bay in which the “Cala Benirrás” beach stretches, today families and couples in love like to come here to have a picnic and watch the sunset in the evening. The beach, hidden at the foot of the “Es Cap Bernat” rock behind pine forests, has beautiful sand, is clean and romantic.

“Port San Miquel”: This is a beach for water sports enthusiasts. Surfers, sailors and divers romp around here – not to mention the swimmers! And to relax after exercising, you can borrow an umbrella and a deck chair. Hotels and restaurants surround this well-known sandy beach. How about a romantic dinner to end an eventful day?

“Cala Xarraca”: This sandy and pebble beach is one of the smaller beaches in the north, it almost has the flair of an insider tip. Snorkelers like to come here. Bathers can stop off at the only restaurant on the beach “Cala Xarraca” and also rent sun beds and umbrellas. A pedal boat rental is also connected. Children will particularly enjoy a pedal boat trip, while adults who are not afraid of heights may prefer to take a walk above the cliffs and admire the Mediterranean plants that thrive here (e.g. oleanders).

The east coast

The east coast also has some of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Ibiza. We briefly introduce three of them to you:

“Cala de San Vincent”: This is a beautiful long sandy beach with a very good infrastructure (sanitary facilities, bars, restaurants, even a beach volleyball court is available). The fish restaurant “Es Caló” is particularly recommended – gourmets will get their money’s worth here! In the middle of the forest, in the hinterland of this beach is the interesting cave “Cova des Cuieram”. A walk there is worthwhile, the paths to the cave are well signposted. It can be visited!

“Cala Mastella”: On this small sandy beach you can have a romantic picnic between rocky cliffs. But the staff of the “Cala Mastella” restaurant will be happy to see you! A parasol and deck chair rental is available on this beach, otherwise you will find peace, seclusion, pure relaxation!

“Aguas Blancas”: Here you have the feeling of being in the Caribbean! The name of the beach translates as “white water” and is highly deserved! The water looks really white near the beach, because the seabed consists of completely white sand. But further out the water shimmers blue – just Caribbean! “Aguas Blancas” is a nudist beach.

The southwest and south

Three wonderful beaches in the southern part of the island:

“Cala D’Hort”: From this sandy beach, bathers can see a bizarre rock called “Es Vedra”, which rises outside the coast and forms a romantic photo motif. Because of this rock alone, the way to “Cala D’Hort” is worthwhile. But the wonderful blue water and the three good restaurants that take care of your physical well-being are not to be scoffed at!

“Ses Salines”: Immediately on the southern tip of the island is the “Ses Salines” nature reserve, where rare orchid species grow, among other things. Therefore, a request to all visitors to the beach of the same name, which belongs to the nature reserve: do not leave the paths! Enjoy the flat sandy beach and the good infrastructure with a beach bar.

“Sa Caleta”: This sandy beach – located in a romantic bay – is nice and flat and therefore well suited for children and non-swimmers. It is surrounded by rock walls. The beach restaurant has many delicious fish dishes on its menu.
